Today I want to give you some more information about the phases of the moon and how you can use the power of the moon to your benefit.

The phases of the moon are extremely important in the world of magic. Certain spells can become void or change in the meaning depending on when they are cast according to the moon phases. Therefore, when you are casting a spell you should keep this system in mind. The lunar cycle evolves from the new moon to the lunar moon. Each cycle even has its own power and special energies.

Many people may be skeptical but the moon does affect many parts of life such as animal behavior, tides and the development of plants.  Therefore, since the moon can dictate mammal behavior, magicians strongly believe that our energies also change as a result of the changing moon.

Waxing Moon

The basic layout of the phases of the moon is made out of three phases during each of the two moon cycles; moon waxing and moon waning.  The waxing moon helps to create as it is physically described as growing into the full moon starting from the right side of the moon.  Love spells like attraction spells and curing spells are often cast during this phase.

Waning Moon

The waning moon is when the moon decreases in appearance after the full moon has shone.  Since the moon is decreasing in appearance magic spells used to banish evil and negative energies works the best during this time period.

Special Occasions

Last night I received an email in regards to white love spells and thought it would be a good idea to post my answer publicly, so you all can benefit from it.

White magic love spells are performed by witches and spell casters to help two people fall in love. Falling in love is no easy task and sometimes with a little help, these spells can bring happiness and joy to a couple bound by white magic. Mabon is celebrate on September 23rd, it is the fall equinox. The God prepares to die, to begin a journey into the Unseen. Fall is clearly present. The trees begin to lose their leaves. We celebrate this holiday once more with the fruits given by the fall. The altar is decorated with acorns, pine cones and colorful leaves. Incense consists of myrrh, sage and pine. The colors are dark red and brown. Sacrifices and dishes are bred… root vegetables, apple wine and fruit juices.
